Art meets floral design in garden club event

Four area garden clubs brought local artists' works together with floral design at the "Duets in Bloom" exhibit held June 19-20 in Bentonville.

The Garden Club of Rogers, Floralia Arrangers Guild Garden Club and Bentonville Garden Club as well as the Bella Vista club organized the event and sponsored four entries each for judging.

Linda Neymeyer of Bella Vista, chairman of the "Duets in Bloom" exhibit, received first place with her interpretation of "Shell Game" by Ben Edwards.

Second place -- Ronna Precure and Ronna Smith, GC of Rogers, "Ascending" by Becky Christenson

Third place -- Janet Bleakman, Joan Clifford, Deborah Reynolds, Bentonville GC, "Circles of Life" by Millie Bradford Aaron

Honorable mention -- Char Brunje, Marsha Jertson, Karen Welch, Bella Vista GC, "Ozark Autumn" by Steve Horan

Honorable mention -- Linda Neymeyer, Floralia Arrangers Guild GC, "Out to Pasture" by Julie Hayes

Honorable mention -- Mary O'Brien and Barb Templin, both members of the Bella Vista GC, "Splash" by Millie Bradford Aaron.
