Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County are beginning a six-month series on the UU living tradition based on the book Sources of Our Faith edited by Kathleen Rolenz. On Feb. 1, John Middleton's talk, "The Golden Rule," will speak to "Jewish and Christian teachings which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors as ourselves."

UUBC has relocated to 1110 SE Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J Streets.

Each Sunday service begins with an all-inclusive opening and a traditional closing. The program usually lasts 30-40 minutes. Coffee and social time begins at 10:30 a.m. and the program begins at 11 a.m.

Bella Vista

Lutheran

"Winter Fun Day" for children will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31. Parents can drop their children off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. There will be time for songs, games, crafts, stories, lunch and snacks.

Sunday morning worship is at 8:30 a.m. for the traditional service and at 10:45 a.m. for the blended service. Sunday school for all children and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m.

Presbyterian Church

Bella Vista Christian Church

Two Sunday services are held at 9 and 10:45 a.m. at Bella Vista Christian Church. KidTown worships and programming are held for the entire service at both hours for infants through fifth grade.

Two new identical Bible studies for women will begin Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. The new series is titled "Embraced by God" written by Babbie Mason. All ladies are invited to attend either weekly session. Sign up at bellavistachristian.com.

A Soup and Chili Bowl Party will be held at the church on Sunday, Feb. 1, to watch the big football game on big screens. Wesley Roberts from the University of Arkansas Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be the half-time speaker at 4 p.m. This is open to everyone in the church and community. St. Bernard Catholic Church

Community Church

Women's Bible Study will begin a series on "The God I Never Knew" by Robert Morris. The study group will meet each Thursday for eight weeks starting Feb. 12. Call the church to sign up for the morning class at 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., or evening class at 6 to 8 p.m. Cost of the book is $7.

Coffee fellowship is offered at 9 a.m. Sunday with the worship service starting at 9:30. A staffed nursery and Children's Teaching Time for ages 4-12 years are available during the worship service. Adult Sunday school is from 8 to 9 a.m.

Highlands Church

The Tan and Jam Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Visitors are welcome.

Highlands Church is holding a 'Souper' Sunday by collecting cans of soup prior to Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 1. The cans of soup will be delivered to Bella Vista food pantries. Drop-off containers are located in the church entrance areas.

SOS Youth Ministry is sponsoring a Valentine's spaghetti dinner on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. A reservation list is located in the gathering area. Tickets are not sold, but donations are accepted. The deadline for reservations is Thursday morning, Feb. 12.

The next HUMMERS blood drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.Wednesday, Feb. 25.

A casual drop-in coffee and sweets fellowship begins at 9 a.m., followed by Bible studies at 9:45 a.m. at Forest Hills Church. Village Bible Evangelical Free

Thursday, Jan. 29, the monthly Church Family Breakfast will be held at Papa Mike's Restaurant in Bella Vista at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29.

Friday, Jan. 30, a joint meeting of the Greeters and Connections Team will take place at 6 p.m.

The Men's Prayer Breakfast is held every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. They are studying the Book of Joshua.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts ice cream and a movie the fourth Friday of the month at 6 p.m. All adults are welcome.
