Diana Michelle Hausam will attend the opening for her exhibit "Abandoned Ozarks" from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 23 at The Artist Retreat Center in Bella Vista. The following day, Saturday, Jan. 24, she will conduct a four-hour workshop "How to Use Your Digital Camera."

"Abandoned Ozarks" features interior and exterior shots of abandoned buildings that Hausam discovered on her travels through the Ozark backroads, according to a new release. Hausam seeks out the obscure -- the abandoned and forgotten, usually buildings and places and occasionally people.

During her seminar, Hausam will conduct a workshop, "How to Use Your Digital Camera." The class is limited to eight students and is geared for those who want to learn how to get the photos they want by understanding the various features of their camera. Students should bring their own camera. The cost is $45. To reserve a space call 479-268-6463.

The Friday night opening for "Abandoned Ozarks" is free. The center is located at 13467 Lookout Drive in Bella Vista on U.S. 71 across from Lake Bella Vista.
