St. Bernard Catholic Church Card Party

Winners Aug. 13 were: Bridge -- Fran Olsen, first; Sharon Stark, second. Crazy Canasta -- Mary Roby, first; Gilda Cork, second.

St. Bernard's holds a monthly card party open to the public. Bridge and Crazy Canasta are played. The entry fee is $1 and snacks and beverages are served. Doors open at 11 :30 a.m. and play begins at noon.

ACBL Duplicate Bridge

'500' is played on the second Tuesday of each month at Riordan Hall beginning at 6 p.m. The next get together will be Sept. 8. Free lessons are offered for anyone interested in playing. Pinochle Players

Ever wanted to get a really big score in Pinochle? St. Bernard's Pinochle Club will meet the second Monday of every month September through May at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall for nibbling and socializing. Play begins at 6:30 p.m. or as soon as everyone is gathered.

How can big really scores be promised? Because this version of double-deck Pinochle gives big bonus points for some frequently occurring groups of cards. Simple, fun and payouts for winners every week. Entry fee is $1 each time and 4-5 places, plus low-man go home with winnings.

Bring a snack to share and sign up with a partner or come alone. All are welcome.
