Saddened by
Gifford's passing
I was saddened today (Aug. 9) by the passing of the football legend Frank Gifford.
As a professional photographer in New York City many years ago, my agent had an assignment for me to photograph Frank for a national advertisement.
I will always remember what a gracious, warm gentleman he was.
Upon arriving at the stadium location, Frank came over to me with his hand extended to greet me. Smiling, his warm greeting was: "Ron, you are in charge here today. Just tell me what you want me to do."
As famous as he was, it was a pleasure and an honor to work with such a fine gentleman.
