Financial concerns about FEMA, ADA

When reading the Vista dated July 29, there were two articles that caused me financial concerns as a taxpayer.

The first was the article about FEMA and the environmental concerns they have about repairs required per their engineers to properly repair Lake Bella Vista -- to replace or repair the earthen dam would cost at least $35 million plus a $513 design contract.

Are they crazy? FEMA apparently can develop recommendations without any concern for how to pay for them.

The second article that also irritated my tax paying instincts -- the costly requirements required by the American with Disabilities Act. Is anybody concerned about the costs and where the monies will come from to do these, in my opinion, questionable expensive repairs?

Do these agencies realize that our governmental bodies have serious financial problems.

The $17 trillion national debt should frighten everybody. We have to stop spending -- we are out of money at all levels.

Federal agencies keep finding requirements for spending when there is no money! We are broke!
