Kansas Sunflower Club

The Kansas Sunflower Club will meet Monday, April 27 at 11 a.m. in the Village Insurance Community Room for a pizza luncheon. Pizza will be be ordered after arrival. Those attending should bring a small salad or dessert to share. After lunch, Bella Vista's Roy Clark will entertain by performing Western music.

All former Kansas residents are invited and welcome to join Sunflower Club meetings. There are no dues.

Bella Vista Fly Tyers

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers fishing and conservation club will host David Bogle, founder and director of the Native American History Museum in Bentonville at their next meeting on Thursday, April 23 at 9:30 a.m.

Bogle will highlight the museum artifacts and discuss the history of Native Americans. This 170-member club meets every Thursday with speakers on various subjects. Visitors are welcome.

Bella Vista

Needlework Club

The Bella Vista Needlework Club meets at Riordan Hall Monday mornings at 10 a.m. The members knit, crochet, cross-stitch, quilt and do various kinds of needlework. There is plenty of room, large tables and light.

If you don't have a POA photo ID card you will pay $2.25 at the desk. Our annual group fee is only $2. Our Spring Fling will be May 4 at Crystal Bridges. Come and join the group.

Calico Cutups

The Calico Cutups Quilt Guild will meet April 27 at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista.

The meeting begins at 1 p.m. or, bring a sack lunch and come early to socialize with friends and visit with Lynn Doyle who is both vendor and speaker. Lynn's topic is "Easy, Fast, Inexpensive Projects." Bring a yellow fat quarter for drawing.

There will be a show and tell following the meeting. All level of quilters are welcome. There is a $5 cover charge for nonmembers.

Beta Sigma Phi

The Laureate Alpha Gamma chapter met in the Highlands Clubhouse for a brunch with Laureate Beta Alpha chapter. Following a social time together, each chapter met separately for their monthly meeting. Two new members who were both present are Betty Boling-Stull and Janice Kennedy. Plans for Founders Day on April 24 at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, were finalized.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, May 13 at the home of Annette Allsup. Katie Holloway will serve as co-host. It will include swearing in new officers and giving ritual degrees.
