Friday, April 24

s There will be two servings for the Spaghetti Fiesta at Bella Vista Assembly of God, 771 Forest Hills Blvd., at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $6.50 in advance and $7.50 at the door. Tickets for children 5-12 are $3 with 4 and under free. Tickets may be purchased from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at the church office or either of the two banks at the intersection of Arkansas 340 and 279. All proceeds will be used for foreign and home mission projects.

s The second annual Exceptional Woman Expo, sponsored by the Property Owners Association, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, at the Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Clubhouse Drive. The event will feature food, fashion and fun. Enjoy a fashion show sponsored by Dillard's; sample Mediterranean cooking by Café Amici; take part in the silent auction; and be sure to enter for door prizes, according to a press release from the Property Owners Association. s The inaugural NWA Veterans Ball will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 24, at the Rogers Activity Center, 315 W. Olive St. There will be live music, a raffle, refreshments and finger food. Proceeds from the event go to the Wounded Warrior Project. The ball is free to military and their spouses. For others attending, the cost is $25 for singles and $40 a couple. The dress is semi-formal.

Saturday, April 25

s The Bella Vista Animal Shelter will have its Spring Brats and Dogs fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Allen's Foods in the Sugar Creek Shopping Center. The event will take place rain or shine. The brat meal costs $4 and the hot dog meal costs $3. All proceeds from the event will benefit the animal shelter, 32 Bella Vista Way. For more information, call 479-855-6020.

s The Bella Vista Historical Society will have its annual membership meeting at 10 a.m. at the Historical Museum, corner of Highway 71 and Kingsland. The public is welcome. Election of officers, progress report on the museum's new addition, speaker presentation and touring of the museum included (free admission).

Monday, April 27

s The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 South Main. Kathy White, director, Barry County Museum, Cassville, Mo., will be the speaker. Saturday, May 2

s The Bella Vista Garden Club's annual Spring Plant Sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will offer a wide variety of perennial flowering plants, herbs, native plants, shrubs and trees. The sale will be held at Village Waste Water Co., 380 Bella Vista Way. New for this year's sale is "experienced" garden tools from club members -- cleaned up and ready for new owners.

s The grand opening of the Razorback Regional Greenway, which consists of the trail system from Lake Bella Vista to Fayetteville, will be held. Carole Harter, president of the Bella Vista Historical Society, will lead a half-hour tour on the walking trail along the east side of Lake Bella Vista, starting at 2 p.m. Event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, May 3

s Live on Stage in NWA will present Paul McDermand in concert at 2 p.m. at the Arend Art Center on the Bentonville High School campus. McDermand will present a display of drum and marimba settings of Caribbean, Jazz and Pop favorites, the perfect recipe for a toe-tapping, heart-singing show.
