Presbyterian Church

The community is invited to join us for a traditional worship service which will be offered at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 12, at Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista. Visitors are always welcome.

An Adult Study Group will meet Thursday, April 16 in the parlor.

Men's Fellowship will gather for breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 18, in fellowship hall. A program will follow. Sign up at the information center.

Bella Vista Lutheran

The Men's Bible study group will meet at 8 p.m. April 9 and will discuss "Great Miracles of the New Testament -- I Can Walk." This study group is led by the Rev. John Lindner.

Beginning Sunday, April 12, an "Inquirer's Class" will meet with the Rev. Hass at 9:30 a.m. This informational class is for those interested in learning more about the beliefs of the Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod or those just looking for a refresher class.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of low-salt and low-sugar fruit and sugar-free jelly are always needed. Gently-used children's books are also appreciated. A shopping cart for donations is in the fellowship hall entry. Monetary gifts are always welcome.

New Wine Ministry

The Rev. Vincent Xavier leads the New Wine Ministry services at 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays. On Sunday a music worship team is led by Gary and Rosalie Jennings, Darlene Choriego and Jerry Harris.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

On Sunday April 12, topics offered for discussion are "Easter, Creation, and You: Realizing Who/What You Really Are," "Dante's Spiritual Journey," and Quakerism.

Coffee and social time begins at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday service begins at 11 a.m. Sunday school is available for children through age 15.

United Lutheran Church

United in Prayer is held at 3 p.m. each Monday at United Lutheran Church. All are welcome.

A Reunited Live contemporary service followed by a light meal will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12.

W-ELCA will hold a Spring Gathering from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18. The cost is $10. The theme is "God's Living Water: Panning for Souls-Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered" from Proverbs 11:25.

W-ELCA will convene at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, for their general April meeting. Discussion will be on the progress on the "Frank Lloyd Wright Home." Men are welcome to attend this meeting.

Choir practice begins at 4 p.m. Wednesdays at Highland Christian Church.

Disciples Women Fellowship Brunch will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, in fellowship hall. The guest speaker will be from Audrey's Home of Hope.

Elders will meet at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 12, with Sunday school at 9 a.m. Worship with open communion will be at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Paul Seal will be speaking on "A Man of Sorrow" from Isaiah 53: 1-6.

The church board will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, April 13.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to attend worship at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 12. Chuck Jensen of the Gideons will be the guest speaker. A casual drop-in coffee and sweets fellowship begins at 9 a.m., followed by adult Bible studies at 9:45 a.m. The Wednesday noon April series "Touch the Earth Lightly," is a sack lunch Bible study about being good stewards of the earth. The studies are open for anyone in the community.

Forest Hills Church is an American Baptist Congregation that emphasizes many ministries both within the church and throughout the Bella Vista community. Community Church

Free blood pressure checks are available in the nurses' office from 9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday at Bella Vista Community Church. This service is also available the last Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the parlor.

Memory Disorders Caregivers support group will meet Wednesday, April 8, at 1 p.m. in the parlor.

Wednesday night family activities begin at 6 p.m. with pizza followed by Bible study for all ages at 6:30 p.m. A nursery is provided.

Growing through Grief support group will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the parlor.

Hope Happens Here cancer support group will gather at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the parlor.

Overeaters Anonymous will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, downstairs. There is no charge for the meetings, but donations are appreciated.

Adult Sunday school meets from 8 to 9 a.m. followed by worship at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Coffee fellowship is offered before and after the service. A staffed nursery is available, as well as a children's teaching time for ages 4-12 during the worship service.

The next newcomers' orientation will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in the parlor. Anyone interested in knowing more about Community Church is invited to attend.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

First Holy Communion will take place at 9 a.m. Mass Sunday, April 12, with a reception following in the church hall at St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Teen fun night will be in the office conference room at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15.

Bingo will be played at 6:30 p.m. April 16, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Bingo is played at 6:30 p.m.the first and third Thursday of the month in the parish hall. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the jackpot is $1,000. Contact the church office for further information.

St. Bernard's Parish will be delivering Meals on Wheels in the Bella Vista area in April.

Bazaar Crafters meet Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church hall.

The JAM Adult Sunday School class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Visitors are welcome.

The Care & Share Trailer will be in the church parking lot from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 13, to accept donations of clean, gently used items.

The annual Highlands Flea will be held on a new day this year. The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, instead of on a Saturday.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Wednesday night class and meditation is held at 7 p.m. each Wednesday at the church. These classes are filled with vibrant and meaningful discussions on the issues of life from a metaphysical point of view. A quiet meditation follows the class. All are welcome.

Unity Breakfast Club will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at the Unity Center. Bring a dish to share along with fellowship.

Sunday morning 9 a.m. group book study continues discussion on the book "Discover the Power Within You" by Eric Butterworth. The book offers an opportunity to learn more about Unity teachings.

Village Bible Evangelical Free

Wednesday, April 1, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This ministry is available to anyone in our area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of volunteers.

The 5:30 p.m. dinner will be hamburgers with all the trimmings, plus salad and dessert. Donations will be accepted and the community is always welcome. The meal is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children and youth. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Bible study in the book of Romans meets at the church at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. Men and women in the community are welcome and newcomers may come at any time.

April 12, Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10 a.m. worship service. The Rev. Mark Voll will begin a new sermon series titled "It Was the Best & Worst of Times." This week's focus is "Where There's Christ, There's Hope," with a text of 1 Peter 1:1; 5:12-14. Infant and toddler nursery and children's church for kids are offered as well.

A men's Bible study on Jeremiah meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The ladies groups offer informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in the area as well as a hospital in Congo.
