Appliance pickup set for April 6-10

The Property Owners Association is sponsoring its semi-annual "White Goods" pick up so members can get rid of their old non-working appliances.

Republic Services will make the residential pick up during a specially designated week in April.

"White Goods" usually consist of washers, dryers, ranges, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers.

To schedule a pick up, call 479-855-5093 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. now through Thursday, April 2.

Collections will not be scheduled outside of the designated time frame.

The items will be collected on the customer's regularly scheduled trash day during the week of April 6-10. Appliances must be on the street by 6 a.m. on the collection day. Refrigerators and freezers must be empty; they will not be picked up if items are found inside them.

Republic Services will only pick up items that have been scheduled through Bella Vista Village's Maintenance and Construction Division.

No telephone calls to schedule a pick up will be taken prior to that date.

Residents will receive a reference number at the time of registration, which must be clearly visible on the appliance during pick up.

Residents also have the opportunity to rid themselves of one bulky item each week, courtesy of Republic Services.

Bulky items include household and lawn furniture, electronics and lawn mowers. The bulky item will be picked up during the resident's regular weekly trash collection.

The waste company does not accept tires, batteries, oil or hazardous materials.
