A donation of $7 is requested for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds go to support the American Legion. s 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. An old-fashioned party with music, free hot dogs, games and other activities will kick off the campaign to raise money to expand the Bella Vista Public Library, 11 Dickens Place. The festivities will begin with the JM Brass Band marching down Dickens Place playing "76 Trombones." They also will play Dixieland music in the library parking lot. Mayor Frank Anderson, honorary chair of the campaign, will outline the reasons for expanding the library building, while co-chairs Doug Farner and Susan Santos will highlight the plan. Tents will be set up for outdoor activities. The Friends of the Library will have a book sale under a tent in the parking lot.
