The end of summer brings new hours to Bella Vista Village's Highlands Gun Range and Tanyard Creek Practice Center.
Gun range
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 16, the Property Owners Association will have new fall hours for checking out and returning keys for the village's Pistol and Rifle Range.
The keys are available at the Branchwood Recreation Center and will be issued during the center's hours of operation. The Rifle and Pistol Range is open daily during daylight hours.
On Monday through Saturday, the range key will be issued between 8 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. and must be returned by 7 p.m. On Sunday, the range key will be issued between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and must be returned by 6:30 p.m.
During the facility's winter hours, which begin Monday, Oct. 10, the key will be issued between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily and must be returned by 5 p.m.
Members will be required to leave their POA-issued photo identification cards or paper membership cards at the center until they return with the key. Members must accompany guests wishing to use the Highlands Gun Range. Guests will not be issued a key.
Also beginning Sept. 16, the association's trap and skeet range will introduce new hours. The facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The last rounds of trap and skeet shooting will be required to commence 30 minutes prior to the range closing.

Practice center
The Tanyard Creek Practice Center adopted its fall hours Sept. 2.
The facility's hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
