Input requested for novice golf group

The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association is developing a novice golf group where new golfers can learn and feel comfortable among other beginners.

Each year, the POA's Golf Division offers four-week instructional seminars for beginning adult golfers from April through September. During the seminars, golf professionals teach basic golf instruction, etiquette and rules to beginners. But what happens once the instructional seminars are complete?

Often class participants want to move forward in the sport, but they lack the confidence to jump into the game or simply don't know where to begin, according to a POA news release.

The association is looking to develop a new program to follow the beginners golf seminar. The Bella Vista Novice Golfers Group will be a welcoming, relaxed and stress-free environment where beginning golfers can play and learn with others new to the game, the release states. Events would include clinics, practice at the Tanyard Creek Driving Range and play on Bella Vista Village's golf courses.

To better meet the needs and desires of members and guests interested in participating in the Novice Golfers Group, the association's staff invites the public to participate in a brief online survey about the program.
