To be eligible to give blood, a person must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present photo identification. s 7 p.m. Bella Vista Community Concert Band will perform a free concert in Blowing Springs Park. The Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary Club will sell picnic suppers from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with proceeds being donated to area nonprofit organizations. The park is located east of U.S. 71 on Dartmoor Road.

The show is sponsored by the Bella Vista Woodcarvers Club. Door prizes carved by club members will be given away hourly.

s 2 p.m. Janice Kennedy will give a presentation about the Bella Vista Garden Club and its activities at the Bella Vista Historical Museum as a focal point for the club's exhibit that will be on display at the museum the entire month. The museum is located at the corner of U.S. 71 and Kingsland Road, next to the American Legion. Admission is free.

s 7 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to meet nature and wildlife photographer Silas Byers, who will show new work and some of his favorites at The ARC in Bella Vista, located in the historic two-story log cabin on U.S. 71 across from Lake Bella Vista. A native Arkansan, Byers has photographed throughout Arkansas and the world, traveling from the Straits of Alaska to the jungles of Africa to capture the majestic details of nature.

s 2 p.m. Still on the Hill, an award-winning folk duo, will play "Once a River" songs at the Hobbs State Park visitor center in Rogers, located on U.S. 12 just east of its intersection with War Eagle Road. The free concert is part of a project to create awareness of Beaver Lake and its watershed. The duo will give away 100 CDs -- one per family -- on a first-come, first-served basis. s 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Highlands Church's 24th annual Homes Tour will feature five homes in Bella Vista. There also will be activities in the fellowship hall at the Church, 371 Glasgow Road, including the Highlands Cafe, where hot dogs, chips, dessert and drinks will be sold; an antique fair, where there will be antique sales as well as appraisals of antiques for a fee; and a free classic car show. In addition, there will be a raffle. At each home, chances can be purchased for $1 each or $5 for six. Each home will have a gift card valued at $200 for Lowe's, Allen's Foods, Pinnacle Promenade Shops including Best Buy and Target, Walmart and a Visa card. Advanced tickets are $10 and may be purchased after July 16 at Bella Vista banks or from church members. Tickets are $12 on the day of the tour and may be purchased at the homes or the Highlands Gate. All proceeds from the tour go to local charities. Call 479-855-2277 for more information.
