Food donations sought

Area residents who come and visit the massive Christmas light displays on Frampton Lane are asked to bring a nonperishable food item.

The homes at 2 Frampton Lane and 7 Frampton Lane have had the light displays for many years and each features more than 50,000 Christmas lights, said Kathy Woolsey, who along with her husband, James, lives at 2 Frampton. The displays haves been nicknamed Bella Vista's North Pole, she added. Bill and Sheila Robbins reside at 7 Frampton.

There is a box near the lane to collect the food that will be donated to the Salvation Army and Helping Hands, Kathy Woolsey said. The box is collected each night.

As residents drive through the display, they can listen to Christmas music over the radio. The light displays will remain lighted until Jan. 2.

Frampton Lane is the first street to the right after turning onto Kingsland Road and heading east from U.S. 71.
