Rayburn to receive fish cleaning station

A new solar-powered fish cleaning station will be built this month on Bella Vista Village's Lake Rayburn, the Property Owners Association announced last week.

The station, which will be similar to the one located at Lake Norwood, will offer a light, electrical receptacle, cutting board, sink and pumped water.

Funding for the solar station is being provided by the Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club and the POA.

Solar-powered equipment will be provided and installed by Power Source Solar Inc. Solar stations also are available at lakes Ann and Brittany.

"We have not had any problems with the systems, which were installed between 2009 and 2010, and the feedback from users has been positive," Vern Olafson, lakes and parks superintendent, said.
