Bella Vista Public Library events

Sock Hop

The Sock Hop fundraiser is back! The Friends of the Bella Vista Public Library will host this event from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Riordan Hall. Live music from the 1950s and '60s will be performed by the Rockin' Roads Band. Tickets are available at the membership desk in the library for $8 each, which includes admission to the dance, a root beer float and popcorn. All proceeds will benefit the library.

New policy

Beginning Sept. 1, patrons will not be allowed to check out items if there are any outstanding overdue items on the patron's account. The library requests these overdue items be returned as soon as possible.

The Knitting Club has new dates and a new time. Both experienced and beginning knitters are invited to brush up on their skills and learn some new techniques from 1 until 3 p.m. every Tuesday. Novices will be guided by experienced knitters. Participants may bring their current projects or start a new one. Attendees must bring their own supplies.

Encore Books!

The Friends of the Library's used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. The store offers everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics and much more.
