WestArk RSVP offers tax counseling for seniors

WestArk RSVP serves Benton, Carroll, and Madison counties from the RSVP office in Rogers.

In addition to partnering with community organizations, WestArk RSVP directs RSVP Community Outreach, whose volunteers serve by:

• Partnering with the Internal Revenue Service, Tax Counseling for the Elderly program preparing and electronically filing federal and state (Arkansas and Oklahoma) tax returns for senior citizens

• In partnership with the Arkansas Insurance Department, RSVP members volunteer by assisting Medicare beneficiaries in applying for federal Low‐Income subsidy and Arkansas Medicare Savings Programs, aiding Medicare beneficiaries in choosing Medicare Part C or D plans and counseling new Medicare beneficiaries.
