Winners of the Bella Vista Photography Club's monthly digital contest were announced at the April 12 meeting.
There were nineteen entries for the April contest, "Flowers." First place went to Jean Berg. Jean Raines, Betty Jo Kelso, Tom Whipple and Ken Johnson tied for second place, and Jan Halgrim, George Jones and Pat Vandenberge tied for third place.
The late R.K. Smith's photos are being shown at the Bella Vista Public Library, 11 Dickens Place, throughout the month. In May, his photos may be viewed at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive. Smith was a longtime member of the photography club.
On April 26, the club plans to take a photo walk on the Crystal Bridges Trails in Bentonville.
Tom Whipple provided the program with a slide show featuring animals, birds and a recent trip to the Panama Canal. Whipple describes himself as a landscape, animal and bird photographer. He and his wife have traveled the U.S. and Canada in an RV.
Mike Martin will have the May program on birds. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Village Insurance Community Room, 2838 Bella Vista Way. Spring Competition photos are due then.
There will be no May digital competition.
