Highlands Flea Market returns for 20th year

A group of women from Highlands Church have mastered the art of raising money for causes they support.

The United Methodist Women are preparing for their 20th annual flea market, a sale that raises thousands of dollars each year to help local and worldwide missions that provide services for women, youth and children.

The market will be open from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Highlands Church, 371 Glasgow Road, in Bella Vista.

Items for sale will be displayed in the fellowship hall. They will include gently used items, such as household goods, furnishings, crafts, costume jewelry, and sporting equipment. There will also be baked goods for sale, and the Coffee Shoppe will have cinnamon rolls and coffee.

Anyone who wants to donate items may bring them to the church the week of April 22 through April 24, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. No electronics, books, or clothing will be accepted.

If anyone needs to schedule a pickup of large items, they should call the church at 479-855-2277 for assistance.

Any leftover items will be donated to Care and Share in Gravette.

Those who desire to have their own private "tailgate" sale using parking spaces outside the church may call Linda to make reservations. Her number is available by calling the church. Prices are $10 for three parking spaces and $15 for five spaces. Payment is due the morning of the sale.

Call the church office at 479-855-2277 for more information about the flea market, or visit the website at www.humcbv.com.
