Balanced Ear serves growing hearing needs of Bella Vista seniors

Balanced Ear Audiology and Balance Services is pleased to serve Bella Vista seniors with their hearing needs.

As we age, many people experience a decline in hearing ability for a number of reasons, including noise exposure, heredity and ear diseases.

The average age of the first-time hearing aid user is 67 and this means that as the "Baby Boomer" generation ages, many more will be deciding that it is time to see if their hearing can be improved by wearing hearing aids.

If you are considering making this decision and reconnecting with your husband or wife and your friends, Dr. Carol Chinn, AuD, Doctor of Audiology, would like to discuss treatment options with you.

Dr. Carol A. Chinn is our Head of Audiology. She is also the founder and president of Balanced Ear. She has an incredible background in audiology. Dr. Chinn began her career as a teacher but when her husband lost his hearing, she began to study everything available in an attempt to improve his hearing.

She gained her Master's Degree in Audiology from the University of Memphis. Upon graduation she completed her clinical practice at the prestigious Shea Clinic in Memphis and was an audiologist for the Shea Clinic for the next 10 years.

Upon moving to northwest Arkansas, she began work on her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. In 2001, upon graduation, she founded Audiology and Balance Services of North West Arkansas, d.b.a., Balanced Ear.

Dr. Chinn has a total of 26 years of clinical experience. She has worked to improve her husband's hearing. Her studies, her experience and her compassionate care helped his condition dramatically, enabling him to carry on with his life successfully.

Dr. Chinn carries the same compassionate care to all her patients by helping them to hear and communicate better and to ultimately lead the most complete lives they are capable of living.

Her credentials include being a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and the Arkansas Academy of Audiology
