s 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A public auction will be held at Concordia of Bella Vista, 1 Concordia Drive. Some of the items to be auctioned off include: a one-night stay at a vacation rental; a body wrap; certificates to local restaurants, such as Crabby's, Olive Garden and P.F. Chang's; two tickets to Van Buren on the Arkansas-Missouri Railroad; baskets from Bic and Camp Bow Wow; oil changes; animal check-ups; and hanging plant baskets.

Friday, April 11

s 5 p.m. Knights of Columbus will host its 22nd annual Lenten Fish Fry at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Lane, in Bella Vista. The social hall at the church opens at 5 p.m. with serving starting at 6. The meal will consist of catfish, potato salad, coleslaw, hushpuppies and dessert. Tea, coffee and water also will be provided. The cost is $10 a person. Tickets are necessary and may be purchased at the church office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Saturday, April 12

s 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bella Vista Village will sponsor its second annual Sports Swap at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors will be able to unload and pick up new or gently used sports items. No firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed.

s 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Northwest Arkansas Gem and Mineral Society will present its spring show at the Community Center in Siloam Springs, 110 N. Mount Olive. Demonstrations include wire wrapping, flint knapping, sphere making and cabochon techniques. Vendors will show rough, slabbed and polished stone as well as finished lapidary and jewelry items. There will also be door prizes, food, silent auctions and special activities for children, such as grab bags, a treasure chest and a gem wash. Admission is $3. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.

Sunday, April 13

s 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Northwest Arkansas Gem and Mineral Society will present its spring show at the Community Center in Siloam Springs, 110 N. Mount Olive. Admission is $3. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.

Tuesday, April 15

s 1 p.m. The spring meeting for all people interested in bluebirds and other cavity-dwelling birds will be held in the Village Insurance Community Room, 2838 Bella Vista Way. s 6 p.m. Joel Sebag, inspirational pianist, will perform a free concert for Easter at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista. The concert, titled "A Gospel Piano for the Soul: The Serenity of Easter," will feature beloved gospel songs. Admission is free, but tickets are required due to limited seating. Call 479-770-5655. s 10 a.m. Bella Vista Village's 10th annual Easter egg hunt will be held at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive. The event is open to children 12 and younger. Parents will have the opportunity to take pictures of their children visiting with the Easter Bunny from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A carnival with children's activities will follow the hunt and conclude at noon. s 7 p.m. A community concert, "The Seven Last Words of Christ," will be performed at Bella Vista Baptist Church, 50 E. Lancashire Blvd. The program is being organized and conducted by the Rev. Daniel Salls and will feature choir and orchestra members from Highlands Methodist, Bella Vista Assembly of God, Bella Vista Community Church, First United Methodist Church, Ecclesia College, the Bella Vista Men's Chorus, United Lutheran and Bella Vista Baptist Church. Saturday, April 26

s 7 to 11 a.m. United Methodist Women will sponsor their annual Highland Flea market at Highlands Church, 371 Glasgow Road, in Bella Vista. Quality pre-owned household goods, furniture, sporting equipment, crafts and costume jewelry will be on sale. Coffee and baked goods will also be offered. All proceeds support local nonprofit groups.

s 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bella Vista Animal Shelter will host its annual "Brats and Dogs" fundraiser in the parking lot at Allen's Foods, 60 Sugar Creek Center. The event will be held rain or shine. The cost is $3 for a hot dog meal and $4 for a brat meal. Caramelized onions, sauerkraut, chips, dessert and soft drinks will be available.

s 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association will present "The Exceptional Woman Expo," a wellness, beauty and fashion show, at Café Amici in the Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Clubhouse Drive. The event will include a line of spring fashion from Chico's and Sensibly Chic Resale Boutique & Furniture Gallery, as well as golf and tennis apparel and accessories from the association's golf shops. Additionally, local storefront and home-based businesses will feature merchandise and product information along with sample services. Lunch will be provided by Café Amici. s 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Benton County Master Gardeners will host their first Lawn and Garden Expo at the Benton County Extension Service Office, 1204 S.W. 14th St., Bentonville. Presentations begin at 9 a.m. with "Lawns" followed by "Native Plants" at 9:45 a.m., "Food Preservation" at 10:30 a.m. and "Butterfly Gardening" at 11:15 a.m. There will be an outside plant sale as well as vendors to provide information about rain barrels, garden decor and tool sharpening. Booths from Wild Birds Unlimited, Nitron Industries organic gardening supplies, and Benton County Master Gardeners and 4-H clubs will also be present. s 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Altrusa International of Bentonville-Bella Vista will host its third annual Gals and Games card party to raise funds for children's literacy projects. Sunday, May 18

s 1 to 4 p.m. The Bella Vista Animal Shelter invites its past residents and their new families or foster parents to a Pups in the Park reunion at the K-9 Corral, located by the Glasgow softball field in Bella Vista. Cat parents are welcome to come as well and bring pictures. There will be a tent set up with T-shirts for sale.
