Readers Inc. Book Club
Youngsters in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are invited to join this fun group at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, as they discuss “Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock” by Carolyn Keene.
First Saturday for kids
The 1st Saturday for Kids program will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Youngsters can listen to Ms. Kathryn as she reads stories and then will create a Thanksgiving craft to take home.
Sci-fi Book Club
Science fiction fans are invited to discuss “Going Postal” by Terry Pratchett at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the library. Join in the fun, even if you haven’t read the book.
Read to Dwayne
Dwayne the Library Dog loves tohave youngsters read to him. He is very patient and nonjudgmental to readers of all levels. Call the library at 479-855-1753 to schedule a one-on-one time with Dwayne. Children may bring their own books or read library books to him.
Preschool Story Time
Miss Kathryn and her storytellers visit the Bella Vista Library at 9:30 a.m. every Friday. Readers are needed. Anyone interested in volunteering should call 479-855-1753.
Exhibits
November’s exhibits include model trains from the Sugar Creek Model Railroad & Historical Society, and framed computergenerated designs by Hugh Muir. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Cathy at 479-876-7316.
Support the troops
The library has teamed up with The Weekly Vista to send care packages to U.S. military troops serving overseas. Pick up a brochure listing the needed supplies, then drop off donations inside the library.
License plates available
Decorative front license plates displaying the city of Bella Vista logo can be purchased for $8 at the library and Allen’s Foods. All proceeds benefit the library.
Monthly newsletter
Pick up a free copy of Dickens Place Doin’s at five locations throughout the village: the library, Branchwood Recreation Center, the Property Owners Association office, Riordan Hall and Arvest Bank in Town Center.
Floral arrangement
November’s arrangement was designed and provided by Pat Davis. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patrons’ enjoyment.

The Bella Vista Library’s regular hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.
