— Richard Joseph Bernath

Richard Joseph Bernath, 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Detroit to Joseph Bernath and Victoria Judicky Bernath.

He married Rose Kachaterian on Aug. 20, 1960, in Detroit. They moved toBella Vista 13 years ago from Little Rock after retiring from a 44-year career with the Kroger Co. He was a member of St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church.

Dick volunteered with Crime Watch and had received his 10-year pin. He loved to hunt, fish and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose Bernath of Bella Vista; three daughters, Renee Tracy and husband Mark of Ooltewah, Tenn., Ronda Ingle and husband Brett of Bella Vista, and Ramona Johnson and husband Brad of Fayetteville, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sept. 22 at St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church in Bella Vista.

Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.

Anna C. Clark

Anna C. Clark, 78, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born March 10, 1933, in Newman, Ill., to John W. Senters and Verna P. Howard Senters.

She married Lionel “Rod” Clark on March 29, 1982, in Miami, Okla. She moved to Bella Vista in 1989 from Kansas City, Kan.

She was a member of the Bella Vista Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rod Clark of Bella Vista; sons Rodney Henderson of Kansas City, Mo., and Joel Henderson of Basehor, Kan.; stepson Rodney Clark of Chandler, Ariz.; brother John Senters of Champagne, Ill,; sister Glee of Washington; five grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.

A memorial service was held Sept. 27 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel with Hank Gorman officiating.

Jimmy Edward Daugherty

Jimmy Edward Daugherty, 61, of Bella Vista, died Sunday Sept. 25, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Feb. 14, 1950, in Judsonia, Ark., to Waldo Daugherty and Velma Gaddis Daugherty.

He is survived by one son, Jimmy Daugherty of California; one brother, Ed Daugherty of Bella Vista; one sister, Mary Reece of Bella Vista; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Charlotte Baumann Rieman, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Lebanon, Mo., to Edward Charles Baumann and Theresa Smith Baumann.

She was an active member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one son, Richard Cooper of Kansas City, Kan.; one daughter, Kim Moylan of Fayetteville, Ark.; one stepson, Doug Rieman; one stepdaughter, Carrie Rieman; one brother, Edward Baumann (Susan) of Houston; one sister, Margaret Smith of California; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date at Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Robin Darel Steele

Robin Darel Steele, 60, of Centerton, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville. He was born Oct. 9, 1950, in Prairie Grove, the son of Juanita Barnes and Bob Steele.

He graduated Springdale High School.

He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 16 years after moving from Hot Springs.

He is survived by: his wife; Jan Steele, of the home; his parents; Juanita and Bob Steele, of Bentonville; one son; Jason Steele and his wife Julie, of Centerton; two daughters; Haley Whitcomb, of Bentonville, and Kelsey Steele, of Centerton; one brother; Tony Steele and his wife Suzy, of Bentonville; three sisters; Glenda Carr and her husband Don, of Oklahoma City, Becky Garner and her husband Harley, of Bella Vista, and Teresa Neal and her husband Paul, of Springdale; and four grandchildren.

A private service will be at Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista.

Memorials may be sent to: The Mayo Clinic, of Rochester, MN, or Baptist Integris, of Oklahoma City.

Jean Tomlinson

Jean Tomlinson, 91, died Sept. 20, 2011, in Prior Lake, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Tomlinson, and son, Michael Tomlinson.

She is survived by one son, Dennis (Darlene) Tomlinson of Prior Lake; one daughter, Patricia (Gary) Johnson of Cotton, Minn.; one daughter-in law, Jamia Tomlinson of Springdale, Ark.; many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Winifred Karnesof DeWitt, Mich., and Joyce (Bruce) Aldrich of East Lansing, Mich.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held in April 2012.

Z. Ruth VanWyngarden

Z. Ruth VanWyngarden, 93, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Highland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bella Vista.

She was born July 3, 1918, in Evanston, Ill., to Delbert Wesley Poff and Zeta Lucinda Massey Poff.

Ruth was active in the community and an avid bridge and mah-jongg player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Allen VanWyngarden, and son-in-law, John Kirkpatrick Skeeles.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Lynn Skeeles and Joan Lee Hackett; son-in-law James K. Hackett; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sept. 25 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel.
